Loudoun Deputies Warn Community to Lock Vehicle Doors

SEE VIDEO: Loudoun County Sheriff's Office posted a video of a suspect trying the doors on multiple vehicles.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — "Lock it up, Loudoun," warned the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), following reports of many unlocked vehicles having been broken into in the area. LCSO posted this video showing a suspect trying the doors on multiple cars in a neighborhood parking lot.

"Don't give criminals the opportunity to take your belongings. Lock your vehicles and make sure to close your garage door at all times. The video below shows how easily criminals can go from car to car, stealing your items along the way," LCSO posted on Facebook.

A LCSO spokesperson said that the video was taken about a month ago. It was posted to warn citizens about the importance of locking the doors on their vehicles.
