Loudoun To End Free Shuttle At COVID-19 Vaccination Site

Loudoun County is ending operation of its free shuttle service at its COVID vaccination site at the Dulles Town Center due to low ridership.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County is ending operation of its free shuttle service between the Loudoun County Transit bus stop at Dulles Town Center and the county’s COVID-19 vaccination site located at the other end of the shopping mall. The last day of operation will be Saturday, June 12.

Ridership on the free shuttle has consistently been extremely low, often having no riders on days the vaccination clinic was open, Loudoun County said Friday.

The shuttle began operating in early May as a courtesy to eliminate the need to travel around or through the shopping mall to the vaccination site for people who arrive at the Dulles Town Center on the Loudoun County Transit Local Bus service and who may have difficulty walking long distances.
