Loudoun Green Business Award Winners Announced

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — More than 50 participants and winners of the Seventh Annual Loudoun Green Business Challenge were honored by the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce at the 2016 Loudoun Green Business Awards Reception at Catoctin Creek Distillery, Wednesday, Oct. 26. Businesses were honored for their achievements in environmental sustainability, ranging from small businesses to titans of industry to cutting edge leaders in organic farming, according to the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce.

The winners of each category are as follows:

Most Improved Award: Comfenergy, LLC

Innovation Award Winner: National Recreation and Park Association

Patricia Trammell Award: Modern Mechanical

Commercial Business Category Winner: National Recreation and Park Association

Tenant Leased Category Winner: Oatlands Historic House and Garden

Home-Based Category Winner: Watermark Woods

The Loudoun Green Business Challenge launched in 2009 to recognize businesses, and non-profits and government agencies, for their efforts to adopt environmentally sustainable systems and policies, and to provide information to other organizations to help them “Go Green.” Since then, more than 350 businesses and other organizations have participated in the Green Business Challenge.
