Loudoun Metro Silver Line Community Meeting Set for Sept. 13

The public is invited to attend the next Loudoun County Silver Line planning meeting on Sept. 13 in Ashburn.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Are you interested in finding out about and providing input on the Loudoun County Silver Line construction?

Members of the public are encouraged to attend the next Loudoun County Silver Line Small Area Plan meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Moorefield Station Elementary School, 22325 Mooreview Parkway in Ashburn, according to a Loudoun County Government announcement.

Staff from the Department of Planning and Zoning will present draft information and policies in the Small Area Plan, including new information that builds on details provided at the June 29 public meeting where the land use plan and related information were presented.

Specific topics to be discussed include the plan vision, urban design, community facilities, and transportation.

Attendees will be asked to provide feedback to help guide continued work on the Small Area Plan document.

Preliminary Silver Line Small Area Plan information will be posted to the project website at www.loudoun.gov/silverlinecpam on or around Sept. 6, 2016, so that members of the public can review the materials prior to the meeting. The website also includes maps of the Small Area Plan Boundary and information and summaries from the previous workshops as well as the final reports of the previously completed studies.

The Silver Line Small Area Plan will update the county’s land use plan and policies to guide future development of land surrounding the Ashburn and Loudoun Gateway Metrorail Stations planned for the area. The Board of Supervisors initiated a Comprehensive Plan Amendment for development of a Silver Line Small Area Plan in March 2016.
