Loudoun To Resume Commuter Bus Service; No Charge Through August
Loudoun County Transit will resume commuter bus service from Loudoun County to stops in and around Washington, D.C., on Monday.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County Transit will resume commuter bus service from Loudoun County to stops in and around Washington, D.C., on Monday. Passengers will get to ride for free through Aug. 31.
The resumption of service is part of Loudoun County's move into phase three of Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam's Forward Virginia reopening plan, which gradually eases restrictions meant to slow the spread of coronavirus. The buses will be cleaned on a more regular basis, the transit system said.
To allow for physical distancing on buses, Loudoun County Transit has reduced seating capacity to 50 percent. Passengers should be prepared to wear a face covering on the bus and while waiting at bus stops. When seated, customers should remain six feet from other passengers who are not in their household.
