Loudoun School Bus Carrying 6 Children Hit by Vehicle: LCSO
After fleeing the scene of an accident, a driver crashed into the back of a Loudoun school bus that had its lights on and 6 children aboard.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — After fleeing the scene of a crash, a driver rear-ended a Loudoun County Public Schools bus with six children aboard, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).
Deputies say that LCSO responded on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7:52 a.m. to the intersection of Potomac View Road and River Meadows Terrace in Sterling for a two vehicle crash. The driver of a vehicle struck the side of a Loudoun County Transit bus and then fled the scene.
The driver then rear-ended a Loudoun County Public Schools bus in the area of Sanderson Drive and Brethour Court, Sterling.

At the time of the crash the school bus had its lights on and six children were on board.
No children were hurt as a result of the crash.

The striking vehicle’s driver, the bus driver and the bus attendant were all transported to a local hospital with
non-life threatening injuries.
The striking driver was identified as Luciano Rodriguez, 60, of Sterling.
Rodriguez was charged with Reckless Driving and released on a summons, according to the LCSO.
