Teachers and staff who did not get their shot must now make an appointment to get the vaccine at the county's Dulles Town Center site.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County Public Schools closed its vaccination center at Brambleton Middle School last Friday after administering more than 21,000 shots to county school system staff.

The school system’s vaccination center, or point of distribution, at Brambleton Middle School opened on Jan. 15. It administered both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines during a seven-week period through a partnership with the Loudoun County Health Department and the County Office of Emergency Management.

“I really enjoyed working daily with Jeannie Kloman,” LCPS Director of Digital Experience Justin Donovan said in a statement. “I remember our morning pep talks where she was purely focused on her staff and making sure that they felt appreciated. Her level of caring was absolutely instrumental in creating the positive vibes and loving atmosphere so many staff wrote about when they left the Brambleton POD.”
Loudoun County public schools relaunched hybrid in-person learning on Feb. 16, bringing back elementary school students, and expanded the program to middle and high school students on March 3.
On Tuesday, Scott Ziegler, interim superintendent for LCPS, said the school system will offer all students five days a week of in-person learning this fall. Parents will be given the option of keeping their children remote if they prefer.
