Loudoun Sheriff's Deputy Charged for Alleged Assault: LCSO

A Loudoun Sheriff's Deputy was served 2 citizen obtained criminal summonses on 9/1, after allegedly assaulting a man outside the Courthouse.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputy was served two citizen obtained criminal summonses on Thursday, Sept. 1, following an incident outside of the Loudoun County Courthouse earlier this year, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO).

Deputy Eric Miller is alleged to have assaulted an adult male on Jan. 29. The incident was domestic in nature, according to the LCSO.

Deputy Miller is a 10-year veteran of the LCSO and works in the Courts and Corrections Division.

On August 24, the victim appeared before a Loudoun County Magistrate and obtained the summonses for simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Deputy Miller has been placed on paid administrative leave, according to the LCSO.
