Loudoun's Black-Owned Businesses Offer Holiday Specials
With the holiday season coming, Loudoun Shops Black is encouraging shoppers to consider supporting local Black-owned businesses.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — With the holiday season coming, Loudoun Shops Black is encouraging shoppers to consider supporting local Black-owned businesses.
From restaurants and retail shops to salons and fitness studios, the website LoudounShopsBlack.com features more than 150 locally owned businesses. The businesses are organized by category, making it easy to locate and support the many Black-owned businesses in Loudoun County.
Site founders Leah Fallon and Danielle Nadler launched the website in July. They started LoudounShopsBlack.com to provide a resource for those who want to be intentional with their spending, resulting in job creation and more opportunity in communities that have struggled for years to gain a financial foothold.

"To understand why supporting Black-owned businesses is important, people need to realize there is a racial wealth gap in communities of color," Fallon told Patch soon after the site launched.
This holiday season, LoudounShopsBlack.com suggests residents consider picking up organic elderberry syrup or seasonal tea from Henderson Holistic Health, or shopping for active wear at Fab & Fit or for handmade accessories at Posh Couture or Sow Cole Creations, or creating a gift basket with treats from Popcorn Monkey or Chantel’s Bakery.
