Motorist Update: App Tracks Real-Time Traffic in Loudoun
Loudoun motorists can view real-time traffic incident information in Loudoun County online and on their smartphone.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County motorists can view real-time traffic incident information in Loudoun online and on their smartphone. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) and the Loudoun County Department of Information Technology developed the website to aid residents with their daily commutes, according to the LCSO.
The website lists traffic incidents worked by the LCSO, the Middleburg Police Department and the Purcellville Police Department. Traffic-related issues worked by the Virginia State Police will be listed if the trooper was dispatched by the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Emergency Communications Center.
Traffic incidents worked by the Leesburg Police Department are not listed.

The information gathered on the website is pulled from the 9-1-1 Computer Aided Dispatch System. The information is updated in real-time. The page is configured to auto refresh every five minutes.
The mobile site was recently updated and users who have marked the site as a favorite/bookmark will need to update the information.
