STERLING, VA—Northern Virginia's weekend weather will be way, way colder than the past few days, albeit with plenty of sunshine but strong winds ahead of snowy conditions moving in Sunday night. That's the word from the National Weather Service and other area forecasting outlets.

Temperatures Friday night dropped quickly, and Saturday's highs aren't likely to even reach 40 degrees—with lows in the 20s. The sun, says the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang, gets replaced by clouds late Sunday through Tuesday, when a couple of wintry precipitation events eye the region. So there you go.
