Northern Virginia Weather: Work Week Gets Better
Following a relatively sluggish start, Northern Virginia's truncated work week has pleasant surprises, says the National Weather Service.
STERLING, VA — Now that the Memorial Day weekend is almost done, with snippets of the good and the not-so-good, the beginning of the truncated work week starts off kind of slowly under mostly cloudy skies but will continue to improve as the week progresses. That's the word from the area arm of the National Weather Service.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly cloudy after a bit of morning fog, with highs in the upper 70s. But sporadic sunshine, along with that that thing that almost accompanies summer — chance of scattered showers in the afternoon — should be the rule for the remainder of the week. Thursday looks the best, with sunshine and a high near 80.
