Obituary: Andrew Jordan West, 22

Andrew Jordan West, 22, of Ashburn, VA, died suddenly on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, in Ashburn.

Jordan was born June 9, 1991, in Charlottesville, VA. His family moved to Ashburn in 2003. Jordan attended Belmont Ridge Middle School and graduated Stone Bridge High School with the class of 2009. He furthered his education at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Jordan enjoyed basketball, and played while at Stone Bridge, but came to love soccer above all sports. He also enjoyed skateboarding, music and spending time with his family and friends.

Jordan is survived by his beloved parents: Dane Brian and Charlene Rae Lowry West of Ashburn; four brothers: Brian Michael West of Ashburn, Jeremy Richard West of Reston, Bradley Joseph West of Fullerton CA, and Cameron Dane West of Ashburn; paternal grandparents: O. Roger and Barbara Jean West Jr. of Wendell, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends. His maternal grandparents William and Beatrice Lowry predeceased him.

Services were held Jan. 11 at McLean Bible Church’s Loudoun campus.
