Officials Seek Comment On Proposed Expansion Of Dulles West Blvd

Members of the public are invited to speak about the proposed expansion of Dulles West Boulevard at a virtual meeting on April 29.

LOUDOUN COUNTY VA — Dulles West Boulevard could be expanding, and officials in Loudoun County would like to hear what members of the public think. Public comment will be allowed at a virtual meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 29.

The proposed extension would take Dulles West Boulevard from Northstar Boulevard to Arcola Boulevard. Officials from Loudoun County would like members of the public to join the meeting to learn more, ask questions, and provide feedback about the project's future.

"The Dulles West Boulevard project provides for the planning, design, right of way acquisition and construction of a four-lane, median-divided roadway from Northstar Boulevard to Arcola Boulevard," the county said. "The roadway is a continuation of Dulles West Boulevard from Dulles Landing Drive to the intersection of Arcola Boulevard, north of Route 50. "

Design plans for the project were submitted to the Virginia Department of Transportation in February, and the county is waiting to hear their comments. The construction project will be funded by local sources and money from the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority.

More detailed information about the project, and information on how to attend the meeting is available on the Loudoun County website. Members of the public who wish to speak at the meeting must sign up before 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 28.
