Police: Manassas Man Charged with DUI After Stealing, Crashing Vehicle

A man who was reportedly with driving under the influence in Sterling crashed a stolen vehicle into another car near early Monday morning, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy spotted a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero stopped in the center lane of Route 7/Palisade Parkway at 12:33 a.m Monday. The deputy approached the vehicle and discovered it had rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped further up the roadway.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, Joey I. Rivera, 34, of Manassas, was charged with DUI and driving on a revoked license.

Police later determined the vehicle Rivera was driving was stolen from Manassas. Rivera was also served on a warrant for auto theft out of Prince William County,
