Redskins Celebrity Waiter Night Set for Sept. 26
Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan will host a Celebrity Waiter Night, featuring Redskins players, to benefit children in the community.
ASHBURN, VA – Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan will host his Fourth Annual Celebrity Waiter Night at the Grand Hyatt Washington on Monday, Sept. 26. The Celebrity Waiter Night will benefit Ryan Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation, whose mission is to provide opportunities, support and resources to children and families in need in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
Kerrigan and his Redskins teammates will step off the field at the event to mix and mingle with more than 250 guests. In addition to meeting their favorite Redskins, guests will enjoy a cocktail reception and have the opportunity to participate in exciting live and silent auctions.
Funds raised at Ryan Kerrigan’s Celebrity Waiter Night will go toward installing and maintaining "Kerrigan’s Korner" and funding "Ryan’s Reindeer Rush," according to Blitz for the Better Foundation.

Launched in 2015, Kerrigan’s Korner is a program that provides patients and families with access to technology during their hospital stays. Installed in a hospital, a single Kerrigan’s Korner is a large locker stocked with kid-friendly portable DVD players, video gaming systems, iPads, Kindles and Leap Pads. Kerrigan opened two more Kerrigan’s Korners this year and plans to open at least two more Kerrigan’s Korners within the year, according to the foundation.
Ryan’s Reindeer Rush is holiday program developed to give patients and their families physical, monetary and moral support. The program gives children a chance to interact with Kerrigan as he personally visits them and gives them holiday presents. In 2015, the program expanded to a three-part program that benefited children from three different DC area hospitals.

The foundation’s impact is growing quickly and Kerrigan is looking to continue that growth, according to the foundation.
In recognition of his achievements on the football field, and off the field for charitable works in the community, Ryan was named the Redskins' Community Man of the Year in Aug. 2016 and was awarded the 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in Dec. 2015.

Sponsorships and tickets can be purchased online at www.ryankerrigan.org. Single standard tickets are available for $250 per guest, while single premium tickets are $350 per guest and include a Washington Redskins Signature Series Football for celebrity autographs. All tickets include hors d’oeuvres, a four-course meal and wine as well as tax, gratuity and valet service. Outside memorabilia is prohibited.
