Does your child have an interest in playing hockey? Are they between the ages of five and nine? Ashburn Ice House is offering the Future Caps Learn to Play program, an initiative developed in collaboration with the Washington Capitals, National Hockey League (NHL) and National Hockey League Player's Association (NHLPA).
The program provides first-time participants free head-to-toe equipment, eight weeks of age appropriate on-ice instruction, and certified coaching in a fun and safe atmosphere at the Ashburn Ice House in Ashburn.
The Future Caps Learn to Play program is offered to new, first-time participants (boys and girls), between the ages of five to nine who have already mastered the basics of ice skating. Participants must not have been previously registered with USA Hockey or a sanctioned minor hockey program (house/recreation league) or have attended a Mini-Mite or Introduction to Hockey Skills Class. It is strongly encouraged the participants complete a Learn to Skate class, Jr Hockey 1 or Hockey 1 prior to enrolling in Future Caps.
