Self-Scheduled Vaccine Appointments Now Available In Loudoun
Residents can now schedule their own coronavirus vaccine appointments without preregistering, Loudoun County announced on Thursday.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Self-scheduled coronavirus vaccine appointments are now available in Loudoun County. The county announced on Thursday that the waitlist had been exhausted, and preregistration is no longer required for vaccine appointments.
Residents are now able to visit the Loudoun County vaccine website to schedule an appointment at the Dulles Town Center clinic in Sterling. The county noted that residents must provide a unique email address or phone number to create an account and schedule their appointment.
Dr. David Goodfriend is Loudoun County's health director. "We have exhausted the waitlist for those who have pre-registered in Loudoun County," Dr. Goodfriend said. "This is an important step in streamlining vaccination and lowering barriers to appointments."

Loudoun County, like the rest of the state, is now in Phase 2 of coronavirus vaccine distribution. All individuals aged 16 or older are eligible for the coronavirus vaccine.
Residents under the age of 18 are only approved to receive the Pfizer vaccine. They must also have a parent or guardian present during their vaccine appointment.

Loudoun County's vaccine clinics still operate by appointment only. Anyone who is having trouble scheduling their appointment online can call the Loudoun County Health Department at 703-737-8300.
Residents can also use the VaccineFinder tool online to find a vaccine appointment at local pharmacies and clinics.
Dr. Goodfriend encouraged all Loudoun County residents to receive their vaccine if they haven't already. "Vaccination is the best step we can take to reduce disease transmission and return to normal."
