Sign Up Now for LCSO Women's Self-Defense Workshop Nov. 18
The Sheriff's Office will hold its 40th Women's Self-Defense Workshop Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

The Loudoun Sheriff’s Office has planned it 40th Women’s Self-Defense Workshop from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy, located at 45299 Research Place in Ashburn.
The LCSO opens the class to all female residents of Loudoun County over the age of 14; however, space is limited to 100 participants.
“These free workshops are designed to provide women with the information, tactics, and options on how to protect themselves from becoming a victim,” Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a press release.

Participants, who should wear gym-appropriate clothing and athletic shoes, will learn basic self-defense techniques through instruction, demonstration and actual practice of the methods taught.
