Sterling Gas Station Robber Caught On Camera

The police are asking the public for tips to identify the armed robber.

STERLING, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's assistance to identify the individual who robbed two gas stations in Sterling. The sheriff's office on Tuesday released a surveillance video of one of the robberies.

At around 9:56 p.m. Monday, a male suspect wearing a mask entered the Sunoco gas station in the 700 block of West Church Road armed with a handgun, the LCSO said. The suspect stole cash from the location, then fled on foot.

Shortly after midnight Tuesday, the same individual entered the Sunoco gas station on Pigeon Hill Drive armed with a handgun and wearing a mask. The suspect also stole cash from the clerk before fleeing on foot.

In both incidents, there were no injuries reported. The suspect is believed to be a white male, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and wearing a black shirt and pants with a ski-like mask covering most of his face.
