Sterling Moped Rider Assaulted near Sugarland Rd.

A Sterling man was reportedly assaulted while riding a moped on a path by Sugarland Road and Englewood Drive in Sterling early Friday morning.

The man was stopped by an unknown male at 3:30 a.m. Two other males began to assault him and the victim fled the area, leaving the moped behind.

All three suspects were described as black males. The first suspect was described as a younger male wearing a dark long sleeve shirt. The other two suspects were described as being in their early 20s. One was wearing a black hoodie and the other was wearing a white t-shirt.

Officials established a perimeter and searched the area but did not locate the moped.
