Suspects Identified in Potentially Hate-Based Graffiti Incident

LCSO officials have identified five suspects in connection with a possibly hate-based graffiti incident on a Waxpool Rd. pedestrian tunnel.

Loudoun County deputies responded to the 43000 block of Waxpool Road in Ashburn Saturday to investigate potentially hate-based graffiti reported in a pedestrian tunnel.

Officials conducted a canvas of the area and observed several young adults in a second pedestrian tunnel by Waxpool Road. The subjects fled and two of the subjects were detained at the scene.

Officials identified five suspects through the course of the investigation. The case remains under investigation and is pending review by the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.

There is no indication at this time the case is related to a series of hate-based graffiti in the Brambleton area this past summer.

Graffiti was also found spray painted earlier last week on buildings inside the Claude Moore Park Area by the 21600 block of Heritage Farm Lane and the 21500 block of Old Vestals Gap Road in Sterling.
