Teenager Charged In Stabbing At South Riding McDonald's: Police

A 17-year-old boy from Fairfax was charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred in South Riding in April, according to police.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A 17-year-old boy from Fairfax County was charged in connection with a stabbing that occurred in April in South Riding, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The stabbing occurred at the McDonald's in the 43200 block of Defender Drive around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, April 12, according to authorities. Police said that the stabbing was not a random attack.

The victim contacted a family member, who contacted emergency personnel, to say he had been stabbed, according to the police report. According to authorities, the assailant emerged from the bushes outside of the McDonald's and stabbed the victim.

The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, the sheriff's office said at the time. He has since been released from the hospital, police said.

The name of the 17-year-old suspect has not been released, since he is a minor.

He is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, according to the sheriff's office. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
