The Goddard School in Ashburn Receives AdvancED Accreditation

The Goddard School in Ashburn recently received AdvancED Accreditation and recognized this accomplishment in an AdvancED flag raising ceremony on Wednesday.

According to The Goddard School Executive Director Alice Busch, AdvancED Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance that was developed more than a century ago by American universities and secondary schools designed to distinguish schools adhering to a set of educational standards.  The accreditation process examines the parts that make up the whole institution, including the programs, the cultural context, and stakeholders to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of the students.

Loudoun County School Superintendent Dr. Hatrick and The Goddard School officials celebrated the accreditation with a flag-raising ceremony.
