Vaccine Appointments For Children Now Available In Loudoun
Loudoun County began administering the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine to adolescents aged 12 to 15 on Thursday, May 13.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Children who are older than 12 can now receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine in Loudoun County, the Loudoun County Health Department announced. Appointments for adolescents began on Thursday, May 11.
The health department will administer the Pfizer vaccine to children after it was approved for use by the Virginia Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Food and Drug Administration. The approval followed a clinical trial of more than 2,000 adolescents, according to the health department.
Loudoun County residents can now schedule their own vaccine appointment in real time. Residents can visit the coronavirus vaccine page on the county's website and select "schedule a vaccine appointment."

The steps provided on the county's website will lead to the Vaccine Administration Management System, where residents can schedule their vaccine appointment. Currently, the Loudoun County Health Department is only operating a clinic at the Dulles Town Center shopping plaza in Sterling.
Children are also eligible to be vaccinated at pharmacies and other healthcare providers throughout the county. These providers operate independently from the health department. Appointments at pharmacies can be found using the federal vaccine finder tool.
