Vehicle Catches Fire After Crash in Ashburn: LCSO
3 people were transported to a hospital following a crash that caused one vehicle to catch on fire on Monday afternoon, Oct. 3 in Ashburn.

ASHBURN, VA — Three people were transported to a local hospital following a crash that caused one vehicle to catch on fire on Monday afternoon, Oct. 3 in Ashburn.
Deputies say that Loudoun County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) responded to the area of Old Ryan Road and Claude Moore for a vehicle crash report. Both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Old Ryan Road. One vehicle was attempting to make a left hand turn when it was struck by the second vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
As a result of the crash, the second vehicle caught on fire.

One of the occupants was flown to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The other two occupants were ground transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the LCSO.
