Victim Identified In Fatal Loudoun County Crash: Police
Authorities have identified the passenger who was killed during a crash on Friday afternoon at Old Ox Road and Pacific Boulevard in Loudoun.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Virginia State Police have identified the passenger who died in a car crash at the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Old Ox Road in Loudoun County on Friday, June 18. Patricia Edwards, a 66-year-old resident of Potomac Falls, died at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
Virginia State Police said the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 18. Edwards was a passenger in a Toyota Camry that was travelling southbound on Pacific Boulevard, police said.
The Camry approached the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Old Ox Road, where traffic was stopped. Virginia State Police officials said "the Camry was unable to brake in time."

The Toyota Camry sideswiped two cars before running into the rear of a box truck, according to a police report. The Camry then ran underneath the box truck.
Edwards was a passenger in the Camry when it crashed, police said. She died at the scene.

Police only identified the Camry's driver as "an adult female." They said she is being treated at Reston Hospital with serious injuries.
The drivers of the other two cars were not injured in the crash. The driver of the box truck was also uninjured.
Authorities are still investigating the crash, and they said charges are pending.
