Virginia Storm Pro Basketball Team Inaugural Game Set for Oct. 22

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA –Virginia Storm released their home game schedule with the inaugural game to be played on Saturday, Oct. 22. Based in Loudoun County, Virginia Storm is a professional basketball team and a member of the American Basketball Association (ABA).

With the motto “A Storm is Brewing,” The Storm was founded to help give young adult men the opportunity to continue their basketball careers by providing a foundation for professional advancement.

Their first game will be a fundraiser game on Saturday, Oct. 22. Doors open at 6 p.m. at Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, with a Central Loudoun Basketball League (CLBL) Coaches vs. Kids game starting at 7 p.m. and tip-off time will be at 8 p.m. Tickets will be available for $7.00 per person at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Virginia Storm Organization.

All home games for the Virginia Storm will be played on Saturdays at the Patrick Henry College at 7 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:15 p.m. There will be 10 home games total this season with regular season ending on March 4, 2017.

“We are excited to bring professional basketball to Loudoun County. Our games will bring affordable, family entertainment while supporting non-profits and charitable organizations at the same time,” said Norman Blowe, Jr., co-owner of the Virginia Storm.

Information on season ticket purchases as well as game day online ticket sales for regular season games will be posted on the Virginia Storm’s website and social media on Oct. 1, 2016.
