Visit Loudoun Seeks Nominations for Tourism Awards Program
Nominations are sought for deserving individuals and organizations who benefited tourism to Loudoun County in 2016.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Visit Loudoun is calling for nominations for its Tourism Awards Program, which showcases the work, service, creativity and contributions of individuals and organizations in the tourism industry, according to a Visit Loudoun announcement.
2016 tourism award winners will be recognized at Visit Loudoun’s 21st Annual Meeting & Tourism Awards May 11 at the Holiday Inn Washington Dulles. The event, which is during National Travel and Tourism Week, will include a luncheon and an awards ceremony to celebrate and honor the businesses, people and programs that make Loudoun’s tourism industry successful.
Individuals who work in the industry are invited to nominate candidates for the following award categories:

- Tourism Management Employee of the Year
- Love Loudoun Ambassador
- Tourism Volunteer of the Year
- New Event of the Year
- Annual Event of the Year
- Tourism Promotion/Campaign of the Year
- Back of the House Hero
- Action Award-for an individual or organization that assisted or aided others
- Judy Patterson Award, Visit Loudoun's highest award honor
Take advantage of this opportunity to acknowledge key individuals and programs that deserve recognition and thanks for their valuable contributions and success. Visit Loudoun accepts nominations on an on-going basis; the deadline to submit nominations for the 2016 Tourism Awards is 4pm on Wednesday March 1, 2017.
All entries for the 2016 Tourism Awards must be for individuals, organizations, or programs that recognize accomplishments for activities that occurred or were completed during the 2016 calendar year. Programs that were launched in 2016 that are on-going and do not yet have results or accomplishments should wait until the 2017 awards.
