Weekend Events in Loudoun May Impact Traffic

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office advised residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays. Check out the list.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is advising residents of weekend events that may cause traffic delays in various areas of the county. The events listed below only include activities where traffic control is being conducted by the LCSO and where traffic may be impacted.

•A 5k event will be held on December 3rd from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the South Riding area. The roads that may be impacted include Riding Center Drive, Unicorn Drive, Fleming Street, Longacre Drive, Lemon Tree Place, Freedom Street and Bradshaw Drive.

•Two Holiday parades will be held on December 3rd from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Middleburg area. The roads that may be impacted include John Mosby Highway (Rt. 50) will be closed during the 11:00 a.m. for the Hunt and Hounds Parade and during the 2:00 p.m. for the Holiday Parade. Detours will be set up for traffic within the Town limits. Also, traffic will be impacted the areas of Rt.50 and Carters Farm Lane and Rt. 50 and Zula Road due to parking and shuttle for the Holiday Parades.

•An event will be held on December 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Ashburn area. The roads that may be impacted include Portsmouth Blvd., Claiborne Parkway, Breezy Hill Road, Hay Road, and Charter Oak Drive.

Motorists are asked by the LCSO to please be patient, drive safely, follow all law-enforcement direction and have a safe weekend.
