2020 Santa Runs Continue This Weekend In Burke
The pandemic won't stop Santa's socially-distant visits. The jolly man in red is making his rounds in Burke this Saturday and Sunday.
BURKE, VA — After the Burke Volunteer Fire Department kicked off its Santa runs last weekend, additional visits are planned for this Saturday and Sunday.
The jolly man in red is back on his fire engine sleigh to bring some holiday cheer to neighborhoods, a tradition residents can count on amid the pandemic. As announced by the volunteer fire department last week, volunteers will not be able to accept in-person donations. Donations can be made online.
Santa Runs will happen between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. with a break in the middle of the day. Residents can follow the Santa tracker via the Glympse App to track Santa’s movements through the volunteer fire department's Facebook and Twitter pages. In the case that Santa cannot visit due to weather or other circumstances, updates will be provided online and on social media. Efforts to make up missed areas will be done when possible.
