'Astronomy Campfire' Saturday Night at Burke Lake Park
The star-gazing affair will include s'mores and stories about various constellations. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Fee: $8.

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — There's nothing like cold-weather star gazing — or so they say, anyway. Add a roaring campfire and, hey, what's not to like?
Well, that's exactly what'll be going on 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday at Burke Lake Park, 7315 Ox Road: the Astronomy Campfire.
S'mores will be had, and so will lessons celestial orbs.

Or, as described by the release, "(Attendees will be) under the same starry skies that have been sparking imaginations since ancient times. Learn what those ancient cultures saw in the stars and hear tales about the constellations."
The cost is $8 per person, and children must be accompanied by an adult registered in the program. To register, click here.
