Braddock Road DMV Location Plans To Be Discussed At Meeting

Virginia DMV will present plans and take questions for a future customer service location on Braddock Road in Fairfax.

FAIRFAX, VA — Plans for a future Virginia DMV location on Braddock Road in Fairfax will be discussed at a virtual meeting Tuesday.

DMV is planning construction of a new DMV Customer Service Center at 9911 Braddock Road. DMV purchased the property in 2015 and now uses it for motorcycle training. It is the site of the former Northern Virginia Training Center, which housed people with disabilities.

Virginia DMV and Braddock District Supervisor James Walkinshaw will host the virtual meeing Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. through Webex. DMV will present plans for the new customer service center and allow residents to provide questions or comments.

According to a Facebook post from Walkinshaw, DMV presented plans for the new location to the Virginia Department of General Services, and the next step is presenting the final proposal to the state's Art and Architectural Review Board.
