Burke Centre Festival 2019: Schedule, Parking, More Details

The weekend festival has rides and other entertainment, drawing around 8,000 to 10,000 people each year.

BURKE, VA — The weekend-long Burke Centre Festival returns for another year on Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8. It will take place at the Conservancy Festival Grounds, 6060 Burke Centre Parkway, Burke, VA Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hosted by the Burke Centre Conservancy, admission is free.

Each year, the Burke Centre Festival draws an estimated 8,000 to 10,000 people. The festival features rides, a huge arts and crafts show, live music, bands and other entertainment, food vendors, interactive wildlife shows, Midway-style games, a wine garden and more. Numerous community booths, including Fairfax County Fire and Rescue and Fairfax County Police displays, will be set up.

Wristbands for unlimited rides and face painting will be available at the event for $20 per day. Regular tickets can also be bought on site.

By tradition, the event opens with a flag-raising ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with the Burke VFW & Boy Scout Troop 1345. Ticket sales, rides and other entertainment do not start until the ceremony is over at 10 a.m.

  • 10:30 a.m. - Nen Daiko Taiko Drummers
  • 11:15 a.m. - KARAOKE (w/prizes)
  • 11:50 a.m. - Adrenaline Dance Studio
  • 12:30 p.m. - Virginia Ballet School
  • 1:30 p.m. - Hawaiian All Stars
  • 2:15 p.m. - Delaney Hall Band
  • 4 p.m. - Jean LaBelle

Sunday

  • 11 a.m. - Rocknoceros
  • 12:30 p.m. - Virginia Ballet School
  • 1:45 p.m. - Dance Xone Extreme
  • 3 p.m. - Phil Selz Music
  • 4:15 p.m. - Axial Dance
  • 4:30 p.m. - Karaoke

Inova Bloodmobile will be on site all weekend for blood donation appointments. Festival attendees can sign up for Saturday and Sunday appointments.

Parking and Shuttles

Parking is available at the five Burke Centre Conservancy community centers:

A free shuttle will run 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sunday.
