Burke Lake Golf Center Overhaul Progressing on Schedule

The work began early last summer, and the Fairfax County Park Authority expects to hit an expected completion date of Oct. 2017.

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Nearly eight months in, the overhaul of the Burke Lake Golf Center and parts of the surrounding course is well underway with visible progress already in place, according to the Fairfax County Park Authority.

"This has been a long time in coming," said Burke Lake golf manager Lewis Musolf, who has worked at the course since 1997, in a release. "The old range had 40 traditional open, uncovered stations, and because of demand, it was sometimes hard for customers to get in practice time on the range, especially during weekends and evenings.

"The new expanded facility will be much more accommodating with additional practice opportunities for our customers year-round."
