Burke Student Wins National Video Competition

Dylan Fox of Lake Braddock Secondary School was voted as the winner of a national video competition.

BURKE, VA—Lake Braddock Secondary School sophomore Dylan Fox won first place in the American Bankers Association's Lights, Camera, Save! video competition. His video, "Money: It's Literally Everything," was announced as the winner Thursday after receiving the most public votes. A group of LBSS teachers, bankers, and students gathered at the school to watch the final results.

The contest, open to teens ages 13-18, challenged students to submit a 90-second video that encourages teens to use money responsibly. The winning video featured Dylan performing an original song he composed about wise money management. Scroll down to see his full video (starts at 3:35).

“Through original lyrics and music, Dylan successfully highlights the value of saving and smart money management,” said Corey Carlisle, executive director of the ABA Foundation. “His video will be a fantastic tool in inspiring other students to make saving a priority.”
