Fairfax County Teen Job Fairs Go Virtual In 2021
Job fairs will help connect Fairfax County teens to employers, volunteer opportunities and career-building workshops.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County's teen job fairs will go on in a virtual format in 2021 to help connect teens with employers and provide career-building workshops.
The virtual job fairs will be held on Saturday, March 13 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, March 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the virtual job fair platform Brazen. The job fairs are open to all teens in Fairfax County looking for employment, volunteer opportunities, or tips on building a resume. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to register for free online booth space.
Typically, there are five to six job fairs at high schools in the spring, but limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic led officials to switch to two virtual events. The virtual job fairs will feature information and opportunities from organizations. Teens will be able to participate in one-on-one text chats with representatives from participating organizations, as well as online sessions on career and resume building.
