Flooded Road In Burke Reopens: Police
A portion of Burke Road was closed due to flooding from a nearby stream.

UPDATE: The road has reopened.
Burke Road at Heritage Square Drive is closed Friday morning due to floodwaters, Fairfax County Police say.
High floodwaters have closed the intersection and others near streams around Fairfax County. Parts of Fairfax County are under a flood warning Friday morning. According to the National Weather Service, small streams in central Fairfax County are flooding, causing water to flow onto multiple roads.

Areas that are at risk for flooding include, Annandale, Fairfax, Vienna, Mantua, Burke, Oakton, Tysons Corner,Lorton, Wolf Trap, Merrifield, Newington, I-66 and I-495 Interchange,West Springfield, Fairfax Station, Dunn Loring, North Springfield and Ravensworth.
The heavy rain has concluded, but streams are expected to be flooded over the banks for a few hours. Drivers should avoid driving through flooded waters on roads.
