Lake Braddock Football Moves Up to No. 14 in Latest Rankings

BURKE, VA — Following its 44-17 win at West Springfield this past Friday, Lake Braddock moved up one spot to No.14 in the Washington Post area prep football rankings released Monday.

The Bruins (7-1) finally return home after two consecutive games on the road for a 7 p.m. clash Friday against Mount Vernon (5-3), which is coming off a 52-39 win over W. T. Woodson.

After that one, Lake Braddock — eyeing another playoff run — concludes its regular season at rival South County (7-1) Nov. 4.

DeMatha (9-0) is ranked No. 1 in the poll.
