Lake Braddock Girls Break National Distance Medley Relay Record
Anchored by standout Kate Murphy, the Bruins beat the previous mark by 0.31 seconds at the VA Showcase-Liberty University indoor meet.
LYNCHBURG, VA — Lake Braddock's girls distance medley relay quartet broke a national high school indoor track and field record Friday during the VA Showcase at Liberty University.
The Bruins, anchored by Oregon-bound Kate Murphy, won in 11:34.54, breaking the previous mark by 0.31 seconds.
Shannon Browning ran the 1,200-meter leg, Skyla Davidson the 400, Samantha Schwers the 800 and Murphy the 1,600.
