Lake Braddock Senior Wins Second Consecutive Cross Country State Championship
Kate Murphy wins in 17:08 Saturday at Great Meadow Park while also helping lead Bruins to the girls team title.
THE PLAINS, VA — Lake Braddock senior Kate Murphy her won second consecutive Virginia High School League 6A girls individual cross country championship Saturday at Great Meadow Park.
The University of Oregon recruit covered the 5K course in 17:08, easily beating No. 2 finisher Rachel McArthur's 17:50.
The Bruins also won the overall girls title, ahead of second-place Oakton and third-place Madison.
