Mission Friends Do Great Work

St Andrews kids provide community service

A group of 14 kids from 4th grade through 8th grade worked tirelessly last week at St Andrew's Mission Friends camp. This is something that came about when we had kids that felt too old for regular VBS and we decided to create a service project oriented camp so the kids could give back to the community every day. They made blankets for Inova Children's Hospital (pictured), cookies for FACETS, fixed the church's community labyrinth, filled Blessing Bags for local homeless, painted Kindess Rocks, decorated our church welcome bags, cleaned the church, and purchased $150 of school supplies for FACETS to hand out to their customers.

St Andrew's is an Episcopal Church, located at 6509 Sydenstricker Rd, across from the Pohick library. Come see what we are all about!
