Join the New Year's Eve party at the Ornery Beer Company - Public House in Fairfax City. DJ jamming your favorite party music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dinner and appetizer buffet from 8 p.m. to midnight with all your favorite appetizers, nacho bar, jambalaya pasta, brewhouse chicken, ham and turkey carving station, flatbreads, and all the sides. The Auld Shebeen's New Year's Eve Masquerade Ball: 9:30 p.m.-2 a.m. on Dec. 31 to Jan. 1
This year's ball will feature a photo booth and props so you can take home your memories of the night, as well as share them with your friends on social media. Tickets will be $25 and can be purchased in house or via Eventbrite. Tickets include entry, one drink ticket, a champagne toast, party favors, and masks (in case you forget yours at home), and photo booth photos. Noon Year's Eve at the St. James: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31
Stop by the entertainment center for music, a magic show, face painting and a balloon drop at noon. This event is ticketed, and there will be a special $50 pass for non-members to enjoy all features of the St. James for the day. 6805 Industrial Rd, Springfield, VA 22151
First Night Alexandria: Dec. 31
This family-friendly event features local performers and children's entertainment at venues around the city. It all leads up to the midnight fireworks over the Potomac River with viewing at the foot of King Street. Tickets are required to enter First Night Alexandria venues, but fireworks viewing is free.
Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest: 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 on ABC
This New Year's Eve special broadcast live from Times Square is a tradition for many families. Performers confirmed for the New York City festivities are Post Malone, BTS, Sam Hunt and Alanis Morissette, according to The Washington Post.
