STERLING, VA — Showers are expected for most of Tuesday, with patchy fog, according to the National Weather Service. But the sun is just around the corner.
Showers are expected mainly before 4 p.m., with a high near 55 degrees. The heaviest rain will be between 10 a.m. and noon Tuesday.
There's a chance for lingering showers into Tuesday night, but Wednesday will be partly sunny and Thursday will be mostly sunny. Temperatures stay in the 50s, with overnight lows above freezing.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. South wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 56. Northwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52.
Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 37.
Friday: Rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Friday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
