A Burke veteran who served in Vietnam passed away recently.
U.S. Army Col. (Ret) John Anthony Thomas Jr. died on June 19. He was 84 years old.
Col. Thomas was married for 56 years to Damar Thomas, according to his obituary posted on the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home’s website. He served 30 years as a U.S. Army officer.
