Power Outages Hit Burke, West Springfield Areas
A Thursday afternoon thunderstorm left thousands without power.
BURKE, VA—Burke and West Springfield area residents saw widespread power outages after a storm swept through Thursday afternoon.
Dominion Energy's power outage map showed thousands of residents lost power. The most significant outages occurred south of Lake Accotink down to Burke Lake and the Fairfax County Parkway corridor. These outages were in effect at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

There were no road closures reported by Fairfax County Police as of 9:20 p.m. Thursday.
