Repair Work To Happen On Lake Accotink Park Trail

The trail will remain open during the work, but users should expect disruptions at times.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Repair work on the Lake Accotink Park Trail is set to start, according to the Fairfax County Park Authority.

The park authority's contractor, Tibbs Paving, is expected to mobilize on site around Monday, Nov. 16. Work will begin shortly after the contractor is on site and will take approximately 21 days.

Work will happen on a portion of the trail from the Danbury Forest Drive entrance to the dam spillway. Work will include milling the existing asphalt trail, overplaying the trail with new asphalt, adding stone and grading in rough gravel sections and shoulder restoration.
