Star-Gazing Event Saturday at Burke Lake Park

FAIRFAX STATION, VA — Although the forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a 50 percent chance of rain Saturday night, a star-gazing event might manage to luck out along the shores of Burke Lake Point, 7315 Ox Road.

An astronomical naturalist will be on hand 5:30-7 p.m.to identify stars and provide background about various constellations and other night-sky features. Several telescopes will be provided.

A campfire and s'mores will follow. Those who attend are urged to bring hot dogs for roasting.

Tickets are $ per person, and registration is recommended.
