Overturned Tractor-Trailer Causes Ink Spill In West Springfield
The tractor-trailer crash closed Fairfax County Parkway for hours to clean up the ink spill.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, VA—A tractor-trailer overturned and resulted in hours of cleanup from an ink spill on the Fairfax County Parkway in West Springfield Monday afternoon, according to Fairfax County Police.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue said the truck was carrying printer cartridges, which leaked ink. The ink is non-flammable, according to police.
No one was injured when the truck crashed on the parkway at Rolling Road. No other vehicles were reported to be involved.

As of 9:54 p.m. Fairfax County Parkway is only open on the shoulder in the northbound direction. The Rolling Road ramp to the northbound parkway is closed. Southbound lanes are open. Drivers should seek alternate routes.
