Virginia Recruit Lamont Atkins Soaring for Lake Braddock
The Bruins star rushed for 331 yards and three touchdowns in win Friday over rival Robinson, and is No. 3 among D.C.-area running backs.

BURKE, VA — In its 13-10 loss Saturday at Connecticut, the University of Virginia rushed for a combined 140 yards and one touchdown on 30 attempts as the Cavaliers fell to 0-3.
In his team's 36-7 home thumping Friday of neighborhood rival Robinson, Lake Braddock's Lamont Atkins rushed for 331 yards and three touchdowns on 13 attempts as the Bruins moved to 3-0.
Good thing for U.Va., then, that Atkins unofficially signed with the Cavaliers on Sept. 9 and plans to enroll at the Charlottesville school in January to be available for spring practice.
